Camp Spotlight - Bulldog Fitness

May 4, 2016

This week our spotlight is on Bulldog Fitness camp, if you have never been to Bulldog fitness it is an amazing place for kids to be active and have fun. The facility is like a gym built just for kids. There is tons of fun equipment, rock climbing wall, two full gyms with sports equipment, workout machines with video games attached so much more. What more could a kid ask for? But they do more than just sports and fitness they have a kitchen where they make food, they do lots of crafts and sensory activities plus when the kids attend a camp they have special guests come in and lead activities in theatre, dance, yoga, science and more.

This was actually the first camp my eldest son attended when he was only three and I was so nervous dropping him off with all of these larger kids, but he absolutely loved every minute of it. He met friends his age and loved the freedom of being able to choose an activity. He didn't wan to come home at pick up time.

I saw down with the owner of Bulldog Fitness, Miss Bobbi and asked her a few questions.

Who is your camp geared to?

Children ages 3-13 with all abilities

What is unique about your camp?

An activity based camp that is Ministry of Education licensed so we have qualified staff with a program that is fun foremost but also provides opportunities to learn, explore and create. We also create an inclusive atmosphere, so no child is left out or excluded.

When and where does your camp take place?

At our location in the Grange Plaza, outdoors at Franchetto park, and The Grotto

What do you think is the best part of your camp?

Children have the freedom to choose the activity they would like to do, anything from arts and crafts, sports, yoga, science, fine or gross motor development and many other activities.

What is one more thing we need to know about your camp?

Campers are divided into age and skill appropriate groups so all children can experience activities to their own potential. These groups allow for peer friendships to develop with a sense of confidence. Because the staff are qualified individuals who work year round with students, they have the ability to connect and build relationships with the campers which in turn gives campers a safe and comfortable feeling while at Bulldog
