Okay so it is a start of the new year, do you have a resolution?

I have to agree these are pretty popular becuase I feel like I have made all of these at one time in my life. I like the idea of January first being a fresh start, but I do not like the idea of making a resolution that I usually cannot keep for very long.
My husband had an interesting thought the other day, he has decided that he doesn’t make a resolution on the first of January rather he waits until the 15th to make a lifestyle change. It gives him time to think about what he really wants to work on and how he can make a change. Changes can be big or little.. 7 years ago he quit smoking, last year he wanted to get healthy, a few years ago he wanted to have a better work, family balance. He knows if he waits the 14 days it is something that he actually does want to commit to.
I think resolutions are hard and I find that I may be all eager for the first few weeks and then I go back to my old ways so instead this year I want to start off fresh and spend a few days getting ready for 2016. I want to do a big purge of my house, I have started cleaning out the kitchen, the fridge, the freezer. I want to give myself all of the tools to make 2016 successful in business and in life. I have created some goals and want to have a plan on how to achieve them. I think if I get ready for a great year and have a positive outlook I can not be disappointed that I didn’t keep up with something unattainable in three weeks time.
